SearchBar 融通が利かないChromeの検索エンジンを改善

Chromeで検索エンジンを指定して検索するときはアドレスバーに特定のキーワードを入れて検索エンジンを呼び出す必要があるのだが、毎回この手順をやるのは面倒でもっと楽な方法はないかと思っていたらSearchBarのことを知った。
これまで使っていたContext Menu Searchよりアイコンで検索エンジンの違いが分かりやすく、新規で追加するときも楽、動作の細かいカスタマイズもでき痒いところに手が届く拡張機能。
SearchBar - Chrome ウェブストア
英語オンリーのオプションをGoogle翻訳の力を借りつつ適当に翻訳。私が使ってない機能に関しては翻訳怪しかったり飛ばしてたりするので参考程度にどうぞ。
◆Display settings
Show SearchBar when I press this key combination:F4
F4キーでSearchBarを表示
設定したキーでSearchBarを表示した瞬間に入力フォームにカーソルが合う。一番左のアイコンがデフォルトの検索で、Tab(+Shift)キーで他の検索エンジンに切り替え。

(新しいタブページで機能するホットキーを設定するには、Chrome拡張機能ページのメニューから"キーボードショートカット"を選択)
chrome://extensionsからページ左上のアイコン→キーボードショートカットで設定。新しいタブやChromeの設定画面&ウェブストアではF4キーで起動ができないので、ページ内検索のCtrl+Fに倣ってCtrl+Dにしておいた。

「show advanced options」で高度な設定を表示。
最初から入っているのは全て英語verなので日本ではまず使わないものから、そのままでは使えないものもあったりする。

1つ目のチェックボックスで有効/無効の切り替え。
4つ矢印付いてるアイコンのドラッグでリストの並び替え。
2つ目のチェックボックスでその検索エンジンの直前に区切りを挿入。

自分が分かりやすいものを適当に入力。

検索エンジンのトップページのURLを入力。
▼Search URL
「%s」を含む検索演算子を入力。

SearchBarに表示するアイコン(ファビコン)のURLを入力。
◆検索エンジンの追加
検索エンジンの追加は各サイトの検索ボックス内(TOPページが良さ気)で右クリックするとメニューに「Add to SearchBar」と出るのでクリック。
問題なければそのまま「Add to SearchBar」で検索エンジンに追加。
ニコニコのようにfaviconを自動取得できなかった場合は「advanced options」を開き、右クリックメニューから「ページのソースを表示」で"favicon"が含まれるURLを探してIcon URLを変更する。
